Native Android Auto for BMW NBT EVO ID6

Use wireless Android Auto on your original BMW or MINI NBT EVO ID6 head unit and iDrive screen. This is a software-based remote service: no additional MMI box and no replacement screen. Naviprof serves drivers in the UK and worldwide.

Choose the package for your current system

• ID6 – Native Android Auto only: £100. For a compatible ID6 system with working Apple CarPlay already activated. Includes Android Auto activation; CarPlay activation and an ID4-to-ID6 upgrade are not included.
• ID6 – CarPlay + Android Auto: £150. Choose this if your compatible ID6 system also needs Apple CarPlay activation.
• ID4 to ID6 – CarPlay + Android Auto: £200. Upgrade an eligible NBT EVO ID4 system to ID6, then activate CarPlay and Android Auto.
• ID6 – CarPlay only: £60. Apple CarPlay activation for compatible ID6 systems. Android Auto is not included.

Original system. No MMI add-on.

Android Auto runs through the original NBT EVO system and displays on the original iDrive screen. There is no separate MMI interface box to install and no aftermarket display to fit. “Native” describes integration with the existing head unit; this is an independent activation service, not an official BMW factory Android Auto option for ID6.

Check compatibility before ordering

Send your VIN, a photo of the iDrive menu and the current software version through our contact page or WhatsApp. Tell us whether Apple CarPlay already works. We check the installed head unit, firmware, Wi-Fi antenna requirements and, where relevant, ID4 upgrade eligibility before confirming the correct package. A model year or an ID6-style menu alone does not confirm compatibility.

Your remote session

You need a Windows laptop, an ENET cable and a stable internet connection. We confirm remote-access software, vehicle preparation and any power-supply requirements before the appointment. Most activation sessions take around 30 minutes; an ID4-to-ID6 upgrade usually takes around 1–2 hours. Timing depends on the vehicle and connection, and we allow the time needed to complete the work.

Frequently asked questions

Is the £100 package right for me?

Yes, if we confirm that your NBT EVO ID6 hardware and firmware are suitable and Apple CarPlay is already activated and working. If CarPlay also needs activation, choose the £150 package after our compatibility check.

Can I activate Android Auto directly on ID4?

The ID4 package first upgrades an eligible system to ID6 and then activates CarPlay and Android Auto. Not every ID4 head unit is suitable; have us check it before ordering.

Will I need an MMI box or a new screen?

No MMI box or replacement display is used for this service. Compatibility and any vehicle-specific preparation are checked before booking.

I have ID5 or do not know my system. What should I choose?

Send us a menu photo and software details first. We will identify the appropriate route before you pay.

What if my car has MGU ID7?
